Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. It is daughter to Dennis Alan Taylor, a former banking executive and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist is a half-Spanish and an English-speaking woman. His father is an Argentine and has Scottish as well as English ancestral roots. Her mother has Spanish as well as English ancestry. Taylor-Joy is the youngest of five children. Four are the result of a previous marriage to Taylor's father. Family resided at Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy aged 6 and when they relocated to Victoria district of London. According to Taylor-Joy the move was traumatic and she was unable to master English to the hope of returning to Argentina. The school she attended had to be changed in Northlands and then Hill House. After that, she was enrolled at Queen's Gate School, where she was a dancer and also performed in plays. She dropped out of high school when she was 16 in order in order to pursue her acting career. Taylor-Joy was always aware of her desire to be an actress. The opportunity was offered to her chance by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management, who offered her a modelling job.
