Sheryl Underwood is an American comedian, TV host and actor famous for hosting the popular daily talk show The Talk. Sheryl Underwood was born in Arkansas and raised in Little Rock, Atwater, as well as Atwater. Sheryl lives in a family that is turbulent. She spent the majority of her childhood taking care of her sister Frankie who suffered from the disease of polio. As a teenager, she experienced difficulties with her mother. Sheryl asserts that, at one point, her mother knifed her father after he got too close to her. Sheryl, after graduating college was drafted into the military. However, her interests lay in the field of comedy. She was the only female who made it to the 1989 contest Miller Lite Comedy Search. In 1992, she made her TV debut as a regular performer in the HBO show Def Comedy Jam. The show was as host of Oh Drama! as the host in the year 2000. The show has also featured her as host on The Talk since 2011. She has also been a fictional character in shows such as Bulworth Nicki as well as Beauty Shop.
