Dolly-Parton

Dolly Parton, who was born in Locust Ridge Tenn. on January. 19. 1946 to a low-income family, with twelve kids at one point, realized that she could get away from the hardships of her life by using a creative mind. Songs were written by her before she knew how to write or read. Within 8 years she was playing her first guitar. When she was 11 years old, she began to sing at Knoxville Tenn's local radio station. Gold Band Records is a small label that is independent. Even though she became an established local celebrity while at the high school years, her ambitions were much bigger. After graduating high school in 1964 she immediately moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde was her first album to be charted for the first time on Monument Records. Porter Wagoner, a syndicated TV show host in the late '60s, was looking for a singer for his program. Parton was offered the gig and in the year 1967, she signed to RCA Records in 1968 and joined the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. It was not until 1974 that she opted to walk away from Wagoner's band because the popularity of her own solo records such as Joshua Coat, Many Colors and Jolene had outstripped their collaborative efforts. Parton was a part of the group that split after the end of their relationship with Wagoner was the one to write"I Will Never Love You and saw it climb to Number. In 1974, the song by Parton"I Will Always Love You" reached the No.
