Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been an Greek American columnist, author and entrepreneur for more than twenty years. She has written fifteen books, and she is co-founder of The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington is an author TV personality, philanthropist, and TV host and also the proprietor and publisher of The Huffington Post. She moved out of Greece to England aged 16 where she received an MA from Cambridge University in Economics. First foreign-born graduate to be elected president in the prestigious debate group The Cambridge Union, at 21 years old she took on the role. She was an author for a conservative newspaper after her graduation. When The Huffington Post launched a couple of years following, she launched an online platform for voice with a critique of current politics. The fame of Arianna has helped attract a number of famous contributors. Arianna gained fame after she made the decision in 2003 to become an Independent Candidate for the California Recall election to succeed the Governor Davis. Alongside this, she was the leader of an Detroit project to promote vehicles that are fuel efficient. Forbes listed her as the most influential female in the media industry in 2009. She ranked at 12th place on their ranking. The Guardian also included her on the list of 100 most influential media for 2009. AOL Inc. made her the President of their media group in 2011 following the acquired The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post was joined by additional AOL brands such as Engadget AOLmusic Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli Stasinopoulos was a daughter born to Konstantinos the manager's advisor as well as journalist. While she enjoyed a strong relationship with both of her parents and father, it was their relationship that helped shape her. She was a leader from the beginning. At 16 years of age she emigrated into the United Kingdom to pursue her study and then enrolled at Girton College Cambridge. While in college, she joined Cambridge Union's debate societies in the college which she later became the first female and foreign president. In 1972, she graduated with the degree of Master in Economics. After the graduation ceremony, she became a journalist and TV host. She was a guest on Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she began to write her own novels with his help.
