Lars Mikkelsen-1Lars Dittmann Mikkelsen (born 6 May 1964) is a Danish actor. He has played Troels Hartmann (Copenhagen mayoral candidate) in The Killing and [1] Charles Augustus Magnussen (third series of Sherlock) and the Russian president Viktor Petrov on Netflix's American House of Cards, and Grand Admiral Thrawn from Star Wars Rebels. In 2011, he took home the Reumert Prize of Honour At 27 years old He was enrolled in the National Theatre School of Denmark where he was graduated in the year 1995. He was also featured in The Killing's drama series. Then, he was a part of Borgen III and Those Who Kill and Those Who Kill, both internationally popular Danish drama series. He was the President of Russia in an episode of the BBC drama Sherlock. He won an International Emmy Award in 2018 for his role in the Danish drama Herrens Veje, which aired in the UK in the year 2019 as Ride Upon the Storm
